“On first opening, there's a lovely burst of wild sage and forest floor, fresh cherry and red currants on the nose, with wonderful dry leather and tight harmonious tannins overlying a promising mouthful of bright red cherries on the palate. After decanting some time, liquorice and spice become more evident, with lovely soft bramble fruits. Bracing tannins and acidity support the wine gracefully with foods such as roast chicken, game or even steak.”

Produced with Nebbiolo grapes from the Gallina vineyard in the historic town of Neive, by winemaker Giorgio Negro.
